* We ran 60 pounds of this material in around 10 minutes for a production rate of around 600 pounds an hour, which is triple the expected production rate of the machine (200 pounds per hour with difficult material like wood). * We almost always want to see the top of the roller shells moving around when adding material to the pellet mills. Every time material goes through the pellet mill, it dries out just a little due to the heat and steam released. * This material was too wet to make high quality pellets, but we didn't have time to let the material dry before pelletizing. The pellets were very nice after cooling and drying for a few hours. This material was also very sticky and clumped up after Hammer Milling. A conditioner to "fluff" the materiel before pelltizing would have greatly increased production rate. This material was just a little bit too dry at 11.2% moisture content during the initial run. We added water to bring the moisture content up to 15.9% for a higher quality pellet. We didn't add any water to the shredded newspaper. It ran really well through the Single Phase macine. The pellets out of the Three Phase machine were shorter and would benefit from additional moisture or a binder. The Three Phase machine runs faster due to a 19:1 gearbox as compared with the 25:1 gearbox of the Single Phase machine.
